Digital Downs Championship Racing
The Championships Series is the highlight of the racing season. The best horses and stables compete for victory in the Finals. Enter into Qualifiers to earn qualifying points. The top 10-12 horses as per the Qualifier Standings will be automatically entered into the Finals. There are Consolation races for some horses that do not make the Finals. There is generally a Championships Series for each age group and at each distance group being Sprint, Classic or Route.

|Championships Qualifier races are scheduled over the horseracing season (4 months), over varied distances for each age category. The series culminates in a Championships Final which is held during the last 3 weeks of every season. Big prize money may be sponsored on both the Qualifying Races and the Championships Finals at DigitalDowns.us.
To be eligible for Qualifying Races, your horse must have:
|How to Qualify for a Championships Final|
The 10-12 horses that have accumulated the most points in the Qualifier races by the end of the season are automatically entered in the corresponding Championships Final.
Each time your horse races in a Qualifier, it accumulates points toward qualifying for the Final. A horse can participate in more than one Championships series and qualify for more than one Final.
Race your horse in as many Qualifier races as possible to ensure it makes the Final.
|Championshipss Points Structure|
The Championships points system has been designed and implemented to give a fairer point allocation to horses entered in all Championships Series events.
This points system is particularly important for second instances of races so that horses entered in the first instance are not at a disadvantage as would be the case if fewer runners in a second instance earned the same points.
Points that are allocated per race result according to the number of entries in the race. As an example, a 4 horse race will earn the following points: 1st = 5 points |2nd = 3 points |3rd = 2 points |4th = 1 point
|Rule on Ties for Final Qualifying Spot|
In the event that there are 2 horses with equal points, the system then looks at;
|Championships Consolation Races|
Horses that do not qualify for the Final are automatically entered into a Consolation race. There are consolation races for each Championships Series.
Consolation races are sponsored with bonus credits and entrance is free.
