If a horse works the same times on all distances with more than 1 setup, how do you determine which one to use? For instance, the horse works 109 with b, bt, and bst. Which would you use?

    thanks

    Hi Glenn
If I can’t separate based on work times then my personal preference is to go with the minimal choice so in this instance I would use only b. This is assuming that the horse works slower without any adds. If the horse works the same time naked then I would use no adds. I’m also assuming that you are saying all works are 1:09.00. Remember that even a small difference say 109.00 versus 109.05 can be significant.

I look at split times. If the horse is a sprinter I use the combo with the fastest first split. If they are a router I use the combo that brings them home the fastest. All that if the final times are the same with the same meters.
