That’s the message the Martin county , Kentucky sheriff posted on his Facebook page telling citizens that he is suspending law enforcement in the area because they can’t afford it at the moment . he has also advised getting a big barking , biting dog . he told them “ if the sheriffs office can’t protect you who will ? “ , looks like it’s getting to be the wild wild west in the bluegrass state . I know cold dog & tnt call Kentucky home ( not sure where ) but if your in the Martin county area ...... stay safe boys

Im closer than eddie but still a couple hours away Martin is over in far eastern ky we are looking at getting another gun for home protection. gf just wont let me have it in the car cuz she knows i have a temper when driving lol

eastern Kentucky is struggling ( & has been ) for many years with persistent poverty , rampant drug & alcohol abuse ( often leading to death ) , dwindling job prospects , etc ....... eastern Kentucky is blessed with natural beauty & storybook hills with small towns tucked into them , the land of hillbilly drawls , banjo music , moonshine , apple stack cakes , tomato pies ( not pizza ) , chow chow , soup beans ( a fave ingredient , what rice & noodles are to the Chinese ) Johnny cakes , salmon patties & much more . it’s also coal mining country , some have said that the eastern Kentucky region just might be the hardest place to live in America .
