Hi All,
I just want to let you know that the programming work to replace the old DD Bred fee with the new "Champ Fee" has been completed and you should see this feature kick in shortly. Here are the bullet points
1. Removed DD Bred fee...all horses can race in stakes graded races
2. Replaced the DD Bred fee with Champ Supplementary fee
3. Fee can be paid at time of breeding for $2 or after the fact for $15
4. A button will be placed on the horse stats page "champ fee" to give you the option to pay the fee
5. Creates are now eligible for the Champ Fee which was not possible before
We will monitor this transition
Racing
We want to make you aware of some testing that was recently done for carding races. Our goal is to have races close the same day as the race...allowing stables to enter races at will and not be restricted by a 24 hour closing window. We were fortunate to have some stables in the chat room that helped us with the test. We scheduled a race right away and were able to take entries right away and have the race close and race right away. This is a huge win for all of us as we move toward a more active environment. We also threw one more wrinkle to the test. WE RACED 1YO's in the test race..thats right 1 yo's. That wasn't our initial intention but very cool none the less.
In the future all non claimer races will close as soon as 1 hour before the races go off. All claimer races will still close 24 hours ahead.
Not sure what racing 1yo's means..it was just a by product.
We can do live match races - We now can do a REAL breeding contest for pink slips by putting the horses on the track for pink slips
In the future if we plan on doing some testing i will try to post in forum. tests are only extended to people in the chat room so we have live feedback and participation. We are very excited about the direction we are headed.
