Credit for these seasonal Preview Eliminator races would have to go to Falcon Oaks for his resourcefulness of such a prestigious event. The event was discussed in the forums in S8 among members & was instated by Administration as a seasonal series of races. The first Preview Eliminator race was run on Jan 4/08 S9.

The two races sponsored by Donovan Stables have concluded today. These two races were the first to be sponsored by DS which was a welcomed deed by Administration & Members from around the globe. DS has every reason to be proud of these two sponsored races which were 12 horse fields. The 12 horse field is the maximum allowed at the track by the big boys of/at DD.

16 various stables had entered horses & out of the 16 stables entering horses, 8 stables entered 1 horse in either the 3yo colt or 3yo filly race. The possibility of some stables having selected the first four horses in these two races is a very likely scenario. The selections by some individual’s may have been accurate & some may have been inaccurate.

The expectations of how a horse will/may perform for a specific race can at times be results of the unexpected for any individual regardless who we are. The variable challenges an individual may encounter at DD is a phenomenon that will always be a part of the simulated horse racing game. Challenges which require the uttermost by/from any stable Member.

On behalf of Administration & Members of/at DD, a “Special Thank You” to Donovan Stables for Your

“Triple Crown Series”... what is the “Triple Crown Series”? The “TCS” is a new series of races for 3yo colts & Fillies which has been implemented into the schedule of activities by Administration in S9. The three races for 3yo colts chronologically are “The Canadian Classic”, “The Australia Cup” & “The DigitalDowns Classic”. The three races for 3yo fillies chronologically are “The Matron Mile at Bel”, “The Lexington Plate” & “The DigitalDowns Oaks”.
Are these races feasible? It appears that these races are feasible for any Member willing to enter a horse or two or more in each of these races. What… two or more horses? The BIG question is… does a stable have a horse or two or more that is eligible to be entered into the series? The immediate thought by an individual may be, “I would be happy to have one, let alone two or more”.

The Buckner Grade 1 Mixed Race run in S9 Sponsored by Ryan Express (Rory & Bill) with a 308,000K purse has been the largest purse for any given race as of to date at DD. What was the purpose for this race? The purpose of this race as mentioned by Ryan Express was “to get the best horses at DD, to bring the best together & run for a Giant Purse”. This race was not only Sponsored by RE but was also a race by "Invitation Only".

“The Honda Classic” A race sponsored by Sparc Stables & run once each season. Does it pay to sponsor a horse race(s)? Why wouldn't it be practical to sponsor a race. Would it be wise to say that sponsored races are "the state or quality of an individual being creative, therefore, creating meaningful new ideas for members at DD"?
The 3 races sponsored by SS on Feb 2nd were all run on 7F dirt. Two races for colts & one race for fillies. The entry total consisted of 83.33%. 6 horses shy of a full field of 36 horses between the three races. Race # 7 had a full field of 12 horses racing. Would one say that it was a good turnout? Perhaps I'll let the sponsor himself make the comment. As Sparc Stables commented in the Forum prior to the races.
Quote: Wow… GREAT turn out for the Honda. Good Luck All.................. Unquote:

“The Honda Classic” concluded here at DD for S9 with members already talking about “The Honda Classic” for S10. The thrills & spills cannot go unnoticed for specialized races implemented at DD throughout the course of each season. The thrill of winning or being in the top 3 or the spill of having a horse come in last place when the owner of the horse was anticipating a Win, Place or Show. These races require a 10000K entry fee for every horse entered with exceptional payouts for Win, Place & Show. Races which possibly create the flow of adrenaline throughout the body while being engaged viewing the race in real time, or, a re-view after the real time race has concluded. The race on Feb 09/08 for 2yo colts & fillies had another excellent number of different stables from around the globe entering horses for this "Prestigious Event". Race #7 for the 2yo colts was split due to 15 colts being entered, with no stable member being refused entry for this race. A full field consists of 12 horses, therefore, the Split Race feature implemented by DD for DD members is an automatic feature. 15 colts entered, a 125% entry ratio due to 12 horse fields being the maximum for a race entry. 15/12 = 125. EXCELLENT!! 10 fillies entered, a 83.33% entry ratio. 12/10 = 83.33. Excellent support by members from around the globe for “The Honda Classic” S9.See full story The Honda Classic S9 .

And they are off !! "The Preview Eliminator Futurity Races" kicked off on Jan 4/08 S9 Race # 20 @ 20:15 hrs. on 7F Dirt. Talk among stable owners/breeders was one hot topic at DD for days which was a series of races that was enjoyed by members from around the globe. TPEFR S9 was Sponsored by Falcon Oaks contributing 2500000K & DD contributing 110000K. This is the FIRST time that such a series of races were ever implemented at DigitalDowns.us. History once again in the making for members at DigitalDowns.us.

The Honda Classic Grade 1 race Sponsored by ‘Sparc Stables” on Oct 13TH 2007 for 2 year old colts on a 7 furlong dirt course paid out a purse of a whopping 158000 credits. The race for 2 year colts had 12 entries. 12 horses were entered from 11 different stables with Falcon Oaks entering 2 horses. An entry fee of 10000 credits was required at DD’s race track for this sponsored race.

With a 50% payout for the Winning stable, one can probably be quite certain that the urgency of/for this race to Win was intense. Is it possible that even dollar bills were gleaming in participant’s eyes due to the whopping pay out? A race only consists of the highest amount of money being paid out to one Winner. On rare occasions, the Winners purse can be split when 2 horses cross the finish line simultaneously; only, when the time for both horses is exact. Winner was Devcan, owned & bred by Contempory Stables, running his 7TH race, with Oneto C Jr on board. Devcan ran the 7 furlong dirt race in 1.22.05 bringing in a fabulous windfall of 79000 credits for Contempory Stables, taking home 50% of the purse. One can be certain that Ali of Contempory Stables was proud of his jockey selection & horse entry for this Prestigious Event. Place (2ND) went to Count Chocula, a create, owned by Aardvark Stables also running his 7TH race, with Velez W on board & bringing in 39500 credits for Aardvark Stables. Aardvark Stables was another happy camper at DD’s race track on this day even with Count Chocula placing second, taking home 25% of the purse money. Show (3RD) went to Carpei Diem, owned & bred by Star Of The Desert running his 11TH race, with Gard T on board & bringing in 31600 credits for Star Of The Desert. One can be certain that Star Of The Desert was another happy camper at the track with his earnings for this race, taking home 20% of the purse money. In The Money (4TH) went to Mark Of Zorro, a create, owned by Falcon Oaks, running his 5TH race with Willis T on board, bringing in 7900 credits for Falcon Oaks. Whether, Falcon Oaks was content with the outcome of this race or not, is only known by him, also taking home 5% of the purse money. One can be certain that there were members who were very content with this race. As for the fillies division, there were 6 different contenders, with Falcon Oaks entering 2 horses in this race also. Winner was Wisteria, owned & bred by Falcon Oaks, running in her 9TH race with Lopez DJ on board. Wisteria ran the 7 furlong dirt race in 1.22.07, .02 hundredths of a second longer then Devcan in the colt division, bringing in a fabulous 56500 credits. 22500 credits less then first place Devcan due to only 7 entries in the filly division versus 12 entries in the colt division. 50% of the purse was the take home for Falcon Oaks. Place (2ND) went to Let’s Do It Again, owned & bred by Contempory Stables, running in her 6TH race with Ramos A on board & bringing in 28250 credits for CS. 25% of the purse for this race taken home by CS. A good day indeed for CS. 20000 credits for entry fees submitted, for the two races, with a return of 107250 credits, a profit of 87250 credits. Show (3RD) went to Field Of Attack, owned & bred by Getting Lucky Lodge, running in her 10TH race with Krutz J on board & bringing in 22600 credits, taking home 20% of the purse. GLL may have been smiling, but possibly would have had a bigger smile if FOA were to come in first. In The Money (4TH) went to Explosive Pearl, owned & bred by Sparc Stables running in her 5TH race, with Gard T on board & bringing in 5650 credits for Sparc Stables. A take home of 5% of the purse. I am certain that SS was content to be in the money, even though every stable that races any horses, would prefer a win overall. An individual being near satisfied with being In The Money is a very likely possibility. As the saying go's, "A partial return in revenue is better then no return in revenue". As mentioned by some of the players in the Forums; Sparc Stables. Quote; “Wow some great races in the Honda tonight.” Unquote. Getting Lucky Lodge.
