A change has been made to improve passing in the stretch. The horses will try to make a lane change that allows them to clear more horses instead of running up on one, moving over, running up on another, moving over, etc. This should also help to spread the horses out in the stretch making more holes for passing. We ran tests using previously run races and the winning times were virtually the same.

This change will be very subtle but when the passing lanes are opened up it will be much more noticeable.
