We have re-vamped the Optional Claiming races to more closely reflect real life.
Changes are:
1) If a horse has won an Optional Claiming race of equal or higher value than Optional Claiming race it's entering the horse will have to enter as a claimer. The allowance check box will not display.
2) Horses entered in an Optional Claiming race as a claimer will receive a weight allowance of -4 lbs.
Horses that are already entered in these races will not be affected but any horses entering from this date forward will be under the new rules.
These changes will prevent a horse from dominating these races while running under allowance protection.
