This horse is more of a pure sprinter and has not fared well in limited attempts at this distance. He has some speed and I anticipate he will be near the lead tonight, just not convinced he has the stamina to finish among the leaders, must pass.
2. SLEW ON BOARD(H) (Sham On Board/Runaway Slew) Life 5 1 1 0 20055 Black Ace Stable

Not much to go on with this lightly raced horse, only 5 lifetime starts and the only try at this distance was a disappointing 5th place finish while he took the lead but could not hold it in the stretch, looking elsewhere for the winner.

Her best chance at a piece of this purse would be to let the inside horses grab the lead and then duck in behind them on the rail. She has shown some closing ability in this series. If she tries to go with the speed it will spell doom for her in the stretch, if, on the other hand, she can get the rail position she will be in perfect position to pick up the early speed turning for homer. Has to be considered a player this evening, assuming she can get rail position.
4. RED WHITE BLUE BLUR(M) (DD-Street Boss/DD-Winning Colors) Life 40 9 5 6 544540 Chrisman

If this were a shorter race she would be my first choice but I feel the distance might be a little too long for her liking. She has yet to find the winners circle this season and unless she can grab a big lead I don't see her finding it tonight. That being said, I can't ignore the fact she has won over 500,000 in purse money so I minor award is certainly within reach.
5. UNREQUITED LOVE(H) (DD-Nyquist/DD-Two Bob) Life 41 4 7 4 407840 Sweet Stables

This horse has a ton of experience but only 1 race at the distance and that was an underwhelming performance from gate #8. He has some speed and may very well contend for the lead early tonight but I realistically do not see him being there at the wire, must pass.

To me he is a pure sprinter and has had mixed results at this distance. He has speed and has won 18 of 49 lifetime starts but most of those were at shorter distance than he faces this evening. He could very well be on the lead but he might have to exert himself too much to get that lead as there are speed horses to his inside this evening. If he can get a big enough lead he might be able to hold off the late closers, a player tonight.

Another in the field who has limited experience at this distance and his best efforts at the distance were from gate #1. His last 2 races might indicate he is off form at present and I cannot recommend until I se he can handle the distance.
